Behavioural problems are more common than people might think; from digging, to barking, to aggression, to house soiling there are a variety of behavioural problems that we can help with. Untreated behavioural problems are likely to worsen over time, and this can erode the human-animal bond and lead to resentment and relinquishment of the pet. We provide lengthy behavioural consults to obtain a full history of the behaviour and its progression, as well as any triggering factors or events, and finally observation and physical exam of the pet itself to ensure there are no underlying medical issues. We will then formulate a modification plan aimed at reducing the frequency of the behaviour and managing it for the future, as well as follow up and support to implement these programs. Emma has a special interest in behaviour, and has completed her Membership with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Behaviour - MANZCVS (Veterinary Behaviour).
